Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Application Security Specialist with a strong background in application security practices and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the field, demonstrating a deep understanding of security vulnerabilities and the ability to implement effective security measures throughout the software development lifecycle. This role is critical in ensuring the security of our applications and protecting sensitive data from potential threats.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans on applications to identify potential security risks.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain application security policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Provide training and awareness programs for developers and stakeholders on application security principles.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents related to applications, ensuring timely remediation.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to enhance application security measures.
- Participate in code reviews and security testing to ensure compliance with security standards.




- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met in all projects.

Mandatory Skills:

- Strong knowledge of application security principles and practices.
- Experience with security testing tools (e.g., static and dynamic analysis tools).
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills:

- Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Application Security Engineer (CASE).
- Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
- Familiarity with container security and microservices architecture.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in application security or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing application security measures in a corporate environment.
