Role Summary

The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable data pipelines and platforms that support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases. The role focuses on high quality data ingestion, transformation, and consumption while ensuring performance, security, and enterprise compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Build scalable data ingestion and transformation frameworks using modern data architectures.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across data platforms.
- Implement and manage data models to support analytics and downstream consumption.
- Collaborate with architects, analytics teams, and AI engineers for end to end solutions.
- Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of data workloads.
- Follow enterprise SDLC, DevSecOps, and data governance standards.

Required Technical Skills
- Programming: Python, SQL
- Data Engineering: ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, data warehousing concepts
- Big Data / Platforms:



Spark, Databricks or similar distributed processing frameworks
- Databases: Relational and cloud based data stores

Positive to Have Skills
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka or similar)
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow or equivalent)
- Understanding of data governance, lineage, and metadata concepts
- Exposure to CI/CD and infrastructure as code practices

Experience & Qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience in data engineering roles
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Experience working in Agile / product based delivery models
- Exposure to large scale enterprise data ecosystems is a plus
