Role Description The Student Counselor role at RG International is a full-time, on-site position based in Surat.

The Student

Counselor will interact with prospective students and families, understand their educational background and career aspirations, and provide accurate information about international programs, universities, and admission processes. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counselling sessions, guiding students through application and documentation requirements, and recommending suitable courses and destinations based on individual profiles. The role involves coordinating with partner institutions,



following up with students throughout their admission journey, and maintaining detailed records in the internal system.

The Student

Counselor will also participate in outreach activities such as seminars, webinars, and events, while collaborating with colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive experience for every student.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners toward appropriate academic and career pathways.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including active listening and clear spoken and written communication, to explain options and processes effectively.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service abilities to manage inquiries, resolve concerns, and maintain a supportive, professional relationship with students and families.
- Candidates should possess a good understanding of the Education domain, including international education systems, admission procedures, and scholarship opportunities.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social sciences, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in student counselling, overseas education consulting, or academic advising is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM or student management systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, meet timelines, and handle multiple student cases with attention to detail.
