- Store Operations Job Title: Wholesale Store Manager Location: Hubli, Karnataka, India Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Management / Business Head 1.
Job Purpose The Wholesale Store Manager will be responsible for the complete day-to-day operation of the wholesale store , including customer handling, wholesale sales, stock management, order processing, billing coordination, dispatch, collections and maintaining accurate records. The manager must ensure that the store operates efficiently, customers receive orders on time, stock is accurately maintained and sales targets are achieved. 2.
Key Responsibilities A.
Wholesale Sales: Handle walk-in and regular wholesale customers. Generate new wholesale customers and distributors. Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products. Prepare quotations and negotiate prices within approved company limits.
Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets. Follow up with inactive and existing customers for repeat orders. Develop long-term relationships with retailers, wholesalers, distributors, restaurants, sweet shops, QSRs and institutional buyers.
Upsell additional sizes, colours and product categories. Maintain a database of all wholesale customers. B.
Customer Management: Provide professional and prompt customer service. Record customer requirements, complaints and feedback. Coordinate with production, dispatch and accounts teams to resolve customer issues. Ensure correct quantity, product, colour and packing are supplied. Follow up with customers after delivery. Maintain customer payment and credit information. C.
Stock Management: Maintain accurate physical and system stock. Monitor stock of all SKUs, colours and packing materials.
Track: Opening stock Production received Sales Dispatches Returns Damaged/rejected stock Closing stock Conduct daily/weekly/monthly stock verification. Immediately report stock shortages or discrepancies. Ensure fast-moving products are always adequately stocked. Coordinate replenishment with production and warehouse teams. Follow FIFO wherever applicable. D.
Order Processing: Receive customer orders through phone, WhatsApp, email or in person. Enter every order into the company's order system.
Verify: Customer SKU Quantity Colour Price Credit terms Delivery location Dispatch requirements Coordinate order fulfilment with warehouse and production. Ensure no order is missed or delayed. Track pending and partially fulfilled orders. E. Dispatch &
- Logistics: Prepare daily dispatch plans. Coordinate loading and dispatch of customer orders. Verify quantity before dispatch. Ensure proper carton identification and packing.
Coordinate with transporters and logistics providers. Maintain dispatch records and LR/transport details. Track pending deliveries. Inform customers about dispatch and expected delivery. F. Billing &
- Accounts Coordination: Coordinate with accounts for invoice generation. Ensure invoices match actual dispatched quantities. Monitor customer outstanding payments. Follow up on overdue payments as per company policy. Maintain customer credit limits. Do not extend unauthorized credit. Submit daily collection and outstanding reports to management. G.
Store Operations: Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the wholesale store. Ensure products are properly labelled and arranged. Maintain proper display of MAX products. Prevent product damage, leakage, contamination or unnecessary handling. Ensure safe storage and movement of cartons. Monitor loading/unloading activities. Maintain discipline among store staff. 3.
Daily Responsibilities: The manager must complete the following every working day: Review opening stock. Review pending customer orders. Review today's dispatches. Check production/warehouse receipts. Handle customer enquiries. Generate and follow up on sales. Coordinate billing. Coordinate dispatch. Follow up on pending payments. Check stock discrepancies. Update sales and stock records. Prepare end-of-day report for management. 4.
Daily Management Report: The manager should submit a daily report containing: Opening Stock Sales Orders Sales Value Quantity Sold New Customers Repeat Customers Dispatch Value Pending Orders Collections Outstanding Stock Shortage Customer Complaints Returns/Damages Closing Stock 5.

Allocate available stock to customer orders. Coordinate dispatch priorities. Follow up for customer payments. Resolve routine customer complaints.
The manager must obtain management approval for: Special discounts beyond approved limits. New credit customers. Increase in customer credit limits. Credit period extensions. Product returns outside company policy. Large customer claims. Major price changes. Write-offs or damaged stock adjustments. 7.

Experience: Preferred: 3–7 years of experience in wholesale sales, distribution, store management or B2B operations. Candidates with robust sales and inventory-management experience may also be considered. 9.
Educational Qualification: Minimum: 12th Pass Preferred: Graduate Diploma/degree in Business, Commerce, Sales or Operations is an advantage. Practical experience and ability to manage the business are more important than qualification alone. 10.
