Role Description The State Head (Telecom Industry) role is a full-time, in office position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area.

The State

Head will oversee telecom-related business operations within the state, including planning and executing sales strategies, managing key channel partners, and ensuring achievement of revenue and growth targets. This role involves leading and mentoring state-level teams, coordinating with cross-functional departments, monitoring telecom projects and deployments, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Head will analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with telecom stakeholders to support expansion and service excellence.



Regular reporting on performance, compliance with company policies, and active participation in strategic planning will be integral to the day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of telecommunications and related technologies, including an understanding of radio networks and telecom operations.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to plan, implement, monitor, and close projects within timelines and budgets.
- Demonstrated team management skills, including leadership, mentoring, performance management, and cross-functional coordination.
- Solid background in sales within the telecom or technology sector, with experience in channel development, key account management, and target achievement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work on-site in the Kolkata metropolitan area and travel within the state as required.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in using data and reports for decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Management, or a related field; a postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in a state or regional leadership role
