Equinix is seeking a seasoned AI engineer to design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions. The role focuses on LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and generative AI in enterprise environments.

Role: Staff Software AI Engineer

Location: Bengaluru | Hybrid

Experience

- 5-7 years of software engineering experience
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating AI/ML solutions in production environments

Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of LLM-powered applications and AI-driven features
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade LLM, multimodal AI, and generative AI solutions
- Implement and optimize RAG pipelines including document ingestion, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies, chunking methodologies, and prompt engineering
- Integrate AI models and agents into enterprise applications, backend services, and APIs
- Ensure scalability, reliability, security, cost efficiency, and low-latency performance in production
- Translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions aligned to strategic objectives
- Collaborate with product, engineering, delivery, and business stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement through experimentation, performance analysis, user feedback, and new generative AI advancements

Additional Responsibilities

- Monitor and continuously optimize AI applications after deployment




- Define and measure quality metrics for RAG pipelines
- Work across engineering, product, delivery, and business teams
- Manage complex, multi-component AI systems with high ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
