Organisation: Hindustan Asset Reconciliation and Securitisation Limited (HARASL), New Delhi
Work Model: Work from home, with regular office visits for updates, reviews, and follow-ups
Schedule: Six days a week, 9.30 AM to 6.30 PM
Reporting: Directly to Senior Management
About the Role
HARASL is engaged in distressed asset recovery and reconciliation. We are looking for a forensic auditor, with minimum 5 Years of experience, who can independently investigate complex corporate frauds and deliver reports of genuine analytical depth, not compliance-grade summaries. This is a single-handed mandate: you will own the investigation from document intake to final report, and your findings will directly inform recovery strategy and institutional decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end forensic examination of books, financial statements, bank records, and transaction documents of target companies.
- Trace money trails across entities, accounts, and jurisdictions, and reconstruct fund flows behind layered or disguised transactions.
- Detect window dressing, revenue inflation, round-tripping, related-party abuse, and balance sheet manipulation.
- Identify shell entity structures, benami property creation, and asset diversion, and map the beneficial ownership behind them.
- Examine suspect transactions for preferential treatment, undervaluation, fraudulent intent, and diversion of value.
- Prepare accurate, well-evidenced forensic reports capable of withstanding scrutiny at the highest levels.
- Present findings to management during scheduled office visits and support follow-up queries from counsel and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- A highly advanced investigative mindset: the instinct to ask what a transaction was designed to conceal, not merely whether it was recorded correctly.
- Demonstrated forensic skill set across corporate fraud, financial statement analysis, and asset tracing.
- Ability to work single-handedly with minimal supervision and full ownership of deliverables.
- Strong drafting ability; reports must be insightful, structured, and evidence-linked.
Qualifications
Qualified Chartered Accountant preferred. Candidates with forensic accounting certifications or substantial investigation experience with audit firms, banks, financial institutions, or investigating agencies will also be considered.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and capability.
