Ensure adherence to all occupational health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.

Develop, implement, and update safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.

Maintain and update safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical inventories.

Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.

Risk assessment and prevention

Conduct routine inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and housekeeping to identify hazards.

Perform risk assessments for chemical processes and activities to identify potential hazards.

Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitor its inventory.

Collaborate with other departments on safety analyses like Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA).

Training and communication

Provide training and education to employees on chemical safety, emergency procedures, and the use of PPE.

Organize and conduct safety drills, workshops, and awareness programs.

Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and communication.
