Accountant Manufacturing

IndustryPosition Overview The Sr. Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of PM Steels while supporting management with accurate financial information, cost analysis, and business reporting. The role ensures timely accounting, statutory compliance, receivables management, banking coordination, and financial controls across the organization.

The position also plays a key role in establishing standardized accounting practices, improving financial reporting, and supporting the company's business transformation initiatives through reliable financial data and analysis. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting &

- Bookkeeping Maintain accurate accounting records for all business transactions in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and closing activities.Ensure proper accounting of purchases, sales, expenses, assets, inventory, and banking transactions.Receivables, Payables &
- Banking Monitor customer receivables and coordinate timely collections with the Sales team.Verify supplier invoices and process payments as per approved payment schedules.Handle banking transactions, bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and fund management.Financial Reporting &
- MIS Prepare monthly MIS reports covering revenue, expenses, profitability, receivables, payables, and cash flow.Support management by providing accurate financial reports and business insights for decision-making.Assist in preparing product-wise and customer-wise profitability reports.Costing &




- Budget Support Support preparation of product costing, manufacturing cost analysis, and expense monitoring.Assist in annual budgeting, monthly forecasts, and budget variance analysis.Monitor cost trends and recommend opportunities for cost optimization.Compliance &
- Internal Controls Ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliance in coordination with consultants.Maintain proper accounting documentation and records in an audit-ready condition.Support internal audits, statutory audits, and financial documentation requirements.Team Coordination Guide and monitor the Accounts Executive in day-to-day accounting activities.Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Production, and Stores for accurate financial documentation and transaction recording.Support implementation of accounting processes, ERP systems, and financial controls.Key Result Areas (KRAs)1.

Financial Reporting

Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and MIS reports within the defined reporting timelines.

- Cash Flow Maintain healthy receivable collections and support effective working capital management. 3.

Compliance

Ensure timely completion of all statutory filings with zero major compliance delays. 4.

Accounting Accuracy





Maintain high accuracy in accounting records, reconciliations, and financial documentation.

- Business Analysis Provide timely costing and profitability reports to support management decisions and business performance.

Qualifications &

Experience 58 years of experience in Finance &

- Accounts.Experience in Manufacturing, Steel, Industrial, Engineering, or Process Industries preferred.Solid knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, accounting standards, and statutory compliance.Experience with Tally, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory.M.Com, MBA (Finance), CMA (Inter), or CA (Inter) will be an added advantage.Core Competencies Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledgeCost accounting and analytical skillsAttention to detail with high accuracyFinancial planning and problem-solving abilityKnowledge of statutory compliance and taxationGood communication and coordination skillsIntegrity, confidentiality, and ownershipProficiency in MS Excel and accounting softwareReporting To: CEO / Managing Director Direct Reportees: Accounts Executive (Bills Receivables) Location: Head Office Kochi, Kerala Salary Benchmark: Position Experience Market Range (Monthly Gross) Recommended Salary Senior Accountant 58 Years 45,000 65,000 55,000/month Compensation: 45,000.00 - 65,000.00 per month Work Location: In person . experiance: 60 skill: Financial Accounting, Bookkeeping, Cost Analysis, Financial Reporting, MIS Reporting, Budgeting, Compliance, Internal Controls, Team Coordination, GST, industry: Manufacturing
