About the job role We are seeking an experienced Speech Writer responsible for developing compelling, audience-focused speeches, statements, and scripted remarks for public appearances, rallies, interviews, conferences, and other high-visibility engagements. The ideal candidate should have robust political, public affairs, storytelling, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear and persuasive messaging.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft speeches, statements, talking points, and scripted remarks for public appearances, rallies, interviews, and media engagements.
- Develop messaging aligned with the speaker’s persona, vision, communication style, and target audience.
- Research political, social, economic, and current-affairs topics to support accurate and relevant speech content.
- Convert policy positions, ideas, and key messages into compelling narratives and audience-friendly language.
- Prepare briefing notes, Q&A; documents, talking points, and interview scripts.
- Adapt speeches and messages for different audiences, platforms, regions, and occasions.
- Incorporate feedback from senior leadership and stakeholders while maintaining consistency in messaging.
- Collaborate with communication, media, digital, research, and public relations teams to ensure unified messaging.




- Monitor current affairs, public sentiment, emerging issues, and relevant developments to identify communication opportunities.
- Ensure speeches are factually accurate, impactful, politically appropriate, and consistent with the overall communication strategy.
- Develop content for important events, campaigns, public meetings, press conferences, and special occasions.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, strategic communications, and leadership messaging.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in journalism, Mass Communication, Political Science, Public Relations, English, Communications, or a related field.
- 5–15 years of relevant experience in speech writing, political communications, public affairs, journalism, media, public relations, or strategic communications.
- Prior experience working with political leaders, public figures, government organizations, political campaigns, or senior executives will be an advantage.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of political, social, economic, and current-affairs issues.

Candidates with demonstrated experience in political speech writing, campaign communications, public policy communication, media strategy, or leadership communications will be preferred.
