Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated tests for Web, API, and Mobile applications.
- Automate in-sprint stories and ensure test code is integrated with feature development.
- Maintain healthy and reliable automation suites as the product evolves.
- Implement robust locator and synchronization strategies using test-ids, accessibility IDs, network stubbing, and explicit waits.
- Build and maintain reusable automation libraries, fixtures, test data factories, and API seeding utilities.
- Contribute to and maintain CI/CD test pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab), including parallel runs, artifacts, flaky test handling, and dashboards.
- Generate and publish clear automation reports (Allure/HTML/JUnit) tracking pass rates, execution time, and flaky trends.
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to triage failures, perform root-cause analysis, and file high-quality defects.
- Support adoption of contract testing and mocks for faster and more reliable feedback loops.
- Apply AI-based tools and approaches to enhance testing productivity and efficiency.
- Support and mentor junior team members on automation practices, debugging, and test design fundamentals.

Mandatory Skills
- Solid hands-on experience in test automation across UI, API, and Mobile layers.
- Web Automation: Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript (custom commands, fixtures, intercepts, page object or screenplay patterns).
- API Automation:



Postman (pre/post request scripts, environments, Newman integration) or REST Assured (Java).
- Mobile Automation: Appium with Java, using strong locator strategies (accessibilityId, iOS predicates, UIAutomator).
- Solid understanding of testing fundamentals, including boundary cases, negative scenarios, assertions, data setup/teardown, and flake prevention.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Working knowledge of Git workflows, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and merge conflict resolution.
- Strong debugging skills across network calls, logs, browser/dev tools, and mobile device logs.
- Awareness of business-critical and fintech system considerations, including data privacy, security, and auditability.

Desirable Skills
- Exposure to contract testing frameworks (e.g., Pact).
- Experience with test containers, mocks, or lightweight stubs.
- Familiarity with Jira/Xray for test traceability and reporting.
- Basic understanding of performance profiling for UI or APIs (e.g., Lighthouse, API timings).
- Experience with accessibility testing and internationalization.
- Basic Docker knowledge for local environment setup and service dependencies.
- Hands-on use of AI productivity tools such as Copilots, GHCP/Kiro, Cursor, MCP/A2A concepts for enhancing testing efficiency.
