We are looking for a creative and performance-oriented Social Media Intern who can take ownership of day-to-day content execution across Instagram and YouTube and contribute to the growth of our digital presence.

Role Overview The Social Media Intern will be responsible for creating, editing, publishing, and monitoring content across the company’s Instagram and YouTube platforms.

This role is not limited to video editing. We are looking for someone who understands what makes content work it is from identifying a strong hook and maintaining viewer retention to selecting the right format, thumbnail, caption, and content style.

The candidate will work closely with the Marketing Department to maintain a consistent content calendar, experiment with new content formats, and improve content performance based on audience insights.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day content operations for the company’s Instagram account and YouTube channel.
- Plan, create, edit, and publish Instagram Reels and YouTube videos.
- Ensure consistent daily Reel posting and regular Instagram Story posting.
- Assist in maintaining and executing the social media content calendar.
- Understand Instagram and YouTube algorithms and apply relevant practices to improve organic reach and engagement.
- Identify strong hooks, storytelling structures, and content formats that can improve viewer retention.
- Edit short-form videos and Reels using CapCut or similar video-editing tools.
- Perform basic editing of long-form YouTube videos.
- Create engaging Instagram and YouTube thumbnails, carousels,



and other social media creatives using Canva or similar tools.
- Identify relevant social media trends, content formats, topics, and presentation styles.
- Experiment with different hooks, editing styles, captions, thumbnails, and formats to improve content performance.
- Monitor content performance, including views, reach, engagement, follower growth, watch time, and retention.
- Analyse content performance and use insights to improve future content.
- Maintain consistency in the company’s brand tone, visual identity, and content quality.
- Work closely with the Marketing Department to execute the company’s overall social media strategy.

Required Skills

- Basic understanding of social media marketing and content creation.
- Practical understanding of Instagram Reels and YouTube content.
- Understanding of hooks, audience retention, engagement, and content performance.
- Basic video editing skills.
- Working knowledge of CapCut or similar video-editing applications.
- Good working knowledge of Canva.
- Ability to create thumbnails, carousels, and other social media creatives.
- Positive understanding of visual presentation, storytelling, and content trends.
- Ability to analyse basic social media insights and performance metrics.
- Willingness to experiment, learn, and improve based on content performance.
