JOB PURPOSE:

The
Manager – Regulatory Affairs
will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and ensuring end‑to‑end compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements applicable to a Maharashtra State Private University. This includes liaison with bodies such as the
University Grants Commission (UGC)
,
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
, Department of Higher and Technical Education,
Government of Maharashtra
, and various national and international
ranking and accreditation agencies
.

The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in managing regulatory functions in a university setting—preferably within Maharashtra—and possesses robust communication, legal understanding, and stakeholder management skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Regulatory Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with all regulations, notifications, and guidelines issued by:
- UGC
,
AICTE
,
MoE
,
Dept of Higher and Technical Education
,
Govt. of Maharashtra
, and similar authorities.
- Prepare, review, and file mandatory reports, proposals,



affidavits, returns, and submissions as required.
- Monitor regulatory updates and proactively assess implications for the university’s operations and academic offerings.
- Maintain and update statutory documents, approvals, affiliation records, and institutional compliance calendars.

Liaison & Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies, and government departments.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, visits, approvals, and correspondence with external authorities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (academics, administration, legal, finance, admissions) to ensure coordinated compliance.

Accreditation & Ranking
- Lead the process for national/international accreditation frameworks (e.g.,
NAAC, NBA
, or others as applicable).
- Coordinate data collection, documentation, and submission for ranking platforms (e.g.,
NIRF
, international rankings).
