Responsibilities
- Apply technical knowledge in simulation to enable design and concept developments, as well as verification of product properties and to ensure state-of-the-art product quality. Develop internal methods and tools used in simulation to support new product development.
- Perform technically very demanding simulations in the context of design and concept developments, as well as validation and verification tasks to support development and customer projects.
- To perform CAE/FEA calculations of all existing products under automotive division.
- Evaluate complex and in some cases unique computational problems using software tools e.g. FEA. Proven experience in using FEM tools like Abaqus or Ansys
- Proposes solutions based on simulation findings to address identified issues and enhance product performance.
- Validates simulation models to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Understanding of static cyclic fatigue strength assessment of metals, alloys and polymers using various codes or guidelines (like FKM, VDI etc) and specifications.
- Develop and standardize simulation methods including the development of criterions for release of technical products for usage in the worldwide simulation teams.
- Contribute to inventions, new designs,
or techniques that are considered significant advances in the field.
- Apply deep expertise in simulation and constantly monitor the further development of the area of expertise to keep up-to-date (e.g. publications, trainings, knowledge exchange through industry associations and RandD partners).
Qualifications
- Master of engineering (ME) or Technology (MTech) in Machine design with robust educational track record. (Minimum of 60% of marks throughout)
- Preferably specialization in Mechanical/Structures/Applied mechanics/Thermal engineering.
- 3 to 5 Years of hands on experience in CAE/FEA driven product development of Automotive or Industrial using FEM tools like Abaqus, Ansys, Hypermesh and Nastran.
- Experience in working with RD divisions of Automotive/Industrial OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
- Proficient in engineering calculations, product design guidelines and fatigue calculations.
- Knowledge of Automotive Transmission, Chassis, Engine components or Industrial applications
