– Shadow Teacher / Individual Support EducatorRoleTo provide individualised academic, behavioural, social, and classroom support to students with special educational needs under the guidance of the Special Educator/Inclusion Team.

Key Responsibilities

- Support classroom participation, attention, learning, and task completion.
- Assist with behaviour, communication, transitions, and classroom routines.
- Implement IEP-based strategies and approved accommodations.
- Encourage peer interaction, social inclusion, and independence.
- Maintain brief observation and progress records.
- Collaborate with teachers and the Inclusion Team while maintaining confidentiality.
- Gradually reduce adult support to promote student independence.

Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Education,



Psychology, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Diploma/Degree in Special Education or RCI-recognised qualification preferred.
- Experience with children with special educational needs preferred.
- Valuable communication, observation, and classroom-support skills.
- Understanding of inclusive education and confidentiality.

ReportingThe Individual Support Educator will work under the supervision of the Special Educator/Inclusion Team and will not replace the role of the qualified Special Educator.
