Senior Workday HCM Trainer

About Wizard of HCM and the role

Wizard of HCM Private Limited is an independent HR technology education and training company. We build practical, cohort-based learning that combines business context, live demonstrations, guided configuration, troubleshooting, assessments and career readiness.

We are hiring a Senior Workday HCM Trainer to own a 40-hour live virtual programme for beginner-to-intermediate learners. This is a remote role based in India, with delivery in agreed cohort windows that may serve international learners. The trainer will lead batch orientations and 6 weeks worth of virtual sessions, keep outcomes consistent across parallel cohorts and make learners practice efficiently so they can become job ready or upskill in their existing jobs.

What you will own

- Deliver the approved 12-module curriculum through clear explanation, tenant demonstrations, guided practice, assignments, ticket-based troubleshooting and structured review.
- Translate each session into measurable objectives, demonstrations, learner tasks, checks for understanding, take-home work and remediation.
- Create and maintain original or properly authorized lesson plans, job aids, question banks, rubrics, instructor notes and current reference material.
- Review learner evidence, diagnose misconceptions, conduct office hours or remediation, track progress and report delivery risks and improvements.
- Coordinate calendars, materials, announcements, recordings or notes, faculty handoffs and equivalent outcomes across morning/evening or international cohorts.
- Protect tenant access, credentials, learner data, customer information and intellectual property, use only approved or sanitized examples.

Curriculum you must be able to teach end to end
- Core concepts and navigation, organizations, and staffing models.
- Recruitment, hiring workers, compensation configuration, performance and talent management, and time off and absence.
- Configurable security, reporting and calculated fields,



and business process configuration.
- Enterprise Interface Builder for inbound and outbound scenarios, including Core Connector, Worker foundations, transformation concepts, error handling and reconciliation within the approved course scope.
- A cross-module practical lab with at least 10 realistic tickets across at least five modules, supported by requirements, assumptions, configuration or transaction evidence, tests and correction or rollback thinking.

Experience and capability
- Strong hands-on Workday HCM configuration depth across the curriculum, not only end-user navigation. Candidates will typically bring 5+ years of relevant delivery experience or equivalent evidence across multiple implementations and production support.
- Advanced capability in Recruiting/Hiring, Compensation, Absence, configurable security, reporting/calculated fields, business processes and EIB, working-to-advanced knowledge of Performance and Talent.
- Evidence of live training, enablement, workshops or sustained mentoring, 2+ years is preferred. You must be able to teach mixed-experience adults, facilitate practice and give precise feedback.
- Sound consulting habits, requirements clarification, safe configuration, test design, issue diagnosis, documentation and release-aware content maintenance.
- Professional English, reliable remote delivery setup and dependable availability for the agreed 6-weeks batch window, including preparation and learner review time.

Preferred evidence

- Current or prior verifiable Workday HCM credentials where accessible, credentials support, but do not replace, the practical assessment.
- A sanitized lesson plan,



job aid, assignment or short teaching sample that you created or materially improved.
- Experience delivering virtual cohorts across time zones and using Google Meet, Calendar, Drive and Gmail or equivalent tools.

Selection process
- There will be at least 3 rounds. First round will be the initial screening round. Second round will be more practical oriented and will judge how you really perform under pressure. It will also test your personality, whether you think ethically or not, and whether you are genuinely interested in training others. Third round will be with Kalyani who will assess the mutual fit between your aspirations and the goals of our organization.

- Shortlisted applicants complete an evidence screen, structured interview and a 60–75-minute practical audition. Expect to explain for example, the relationship between organizations and staffing models, demonstrate a safe configuration or transaction, troubleshoot a realistic access/reporting scenario, facilitate a mixed-experience level discussion and show how you assess learner evidence. There will also be psychological profiling done, through personality and ethical thinking tests.
