Role Description The Senior US Taxation freelancer will be responsible for managing and reviewing US tax compliance and advisory work, including preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, and other entity tax returns. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting US tax laws and regulations, performing tax research, handling tax planning assignments, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely filings. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and clients, resolving complex tax issues, and providing guidance on tax implications related to business transactions.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad,



requiring close collaboration with accounting and outsourcing teams to deliver high-quality tax services and support continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in US federal and state taxation, including preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
- Proficiency in tax research and analysis, with the ability to interpret and apply US tax laws, regulations, and IRS guidance.
- Hands-on experience with tax compliance processes, documentation standards, and tax planning for diverse industries.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software commonly used in US tax practice; advanced Excel skills are an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively on-site in Ahmedabad, contributing to a collaborative, process-driven, and quality-focused environment.
- Relevant professional qualification such as CPA, EA, or Chartered Accountant with significant experience in US taxation is preferred.
- Prior experience in an outsourcing or shared services environment, especially with US-based clients, is highly beneficial.
