Analyst — Cerner Revenue Cycle
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Cerner Registration support: patient registration, account creation, insurance loading.
- Triage eligibility verification failures.
- Support CPM-Ambulatory clinical-billing integration.
- Inspect HL7 v2.x DFT messages for charge-interface diagnosis.
- Maintain ServiceNow queue discipline.
- Provide end-to-end support for Cerner Revenue Cycle applications and workflows.
- Analyze business requirements related to patient access, billing, claims, coding, reimbursement, and collections.
- Configure, maintain, test, and optimize Cerner Revenue Cycle modules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, incidents, and service requests within defined SLAs.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, patches, and release activities.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle teams, finance teams, clinical users, and technical stakeholders.
- Monitor application performance and recommend workflow/process improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support integration activities involving HL7 interfaces and third-party financial systems.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
- Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, training materials, and knowledge articles.
- Participate in go-live support, user training, and transition activities
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
Cerner Registration (required) Cerner Registration support: Patient registration, account creation, insurance loading, EMPI handling.
Cerner Scheduling (required)
Cerner Charge Services (required)
Eligibility Verification (required)
Discern Explorer (required)
Discern Explorer queries for charge audits.
HL7 v2.x DFT (required) HL7 v2.x DFT message inspection for charge interface diagnosis.
ServiceNow (required) ServiceNow ticket queue management.
CPM-Ambulatory (preferred) CPM-Ambulatory clinical-billing integration support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cerner Revenue Cycle modules and workflows.
- Positive understanding of healthcare billing, coding, claims, reimbursement, and collections processes.
- Experience in patient access, scheduling, registration, and financial workflows.
- Knowledge of Cerner Millennium architecture and revenue cycle operations.
- Familiarity with HL7 interfaces and healthcare interoperability standards.
- Experience with incident management, problem management, and change management.
- Working knowledge of SQL queries and reporting is preferred.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
- Cerner Millennium Foundations (mandatory)
- Cerner certification for Registration OR Charge Services (mandatory)
- ITIL 4 Foundation (mandatory)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Cerner Scheduling certification
- HFMA Approved Education
- Prior offshore Cerner Revenue Cycle support for a US healthcare provider
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Finance, or related field.
- Cerner Revenue Cycle certification preferred.
- ITIL certification preferred.
- Experience in AMS/support healthcare projects is an added advantage.
