Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Mechanics &

- FEA Engineer with 5 years of core industry experience in numerical simulation to lead structural integrity, static/dynamic analysis, and vibration assessments for mechanical components and complex assemblies. In this role, hands-on simulation expertise is mandatory: you will apply fundamental mechanical principles and advanced simulation methodologies to translate physical systems into accurate numerical models, evaluate load paths, and optimize structural designs for dynamic operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Analytical Modeling &
- Setup:

Develop precise Free Body Diagrams (FBDs) to map complex load vectors, boundary conditions, internal stresses, and reaction forces prior to running full-scale numerical simulations.
- Advanced Finite Element Simulation (Mandatory): Execute end-to-end static, non-linear (geometric, material, contact), and transient structural simulations using Ansys to evaluate component strength, stress concentrations, and safety margins.
- Vibration &
- Dynamics Simulation: Conduct modal, harmonic, dynamic, and random vibration simulations to prevent resonance, mitigate fatigue, and ensure structural durability under dynamic operating environments.
- Design Optimization via Simulation: Work closely with mechanical design teams to interpret simulation results, identify failure modes, and drive structural modifications (light weighting, ribbing, material selection) to meet performance criteria.

Translate complex simulation outputs into actionable engineering reports; correlate numerical simulation results with physical test data to validate and refine simulation methodologies.

Key Technical Requirements

- Mandatory Core Skill — Advanced Simulation: Proven 5-year track record of end-to-end engineering simulation execution, validation, and optimization.
- FEA Software Proficiency: 5 years of hands-on expertise in Ansys (Ansys Mechanical, Workbench) for meshing, solver setup, post-processing, and structural simulation.
- Theoretical Fundamentals: Robust background in structural mechanics, solid mechanics, material behavior, dynamics, and vibration theory.
- Analytical Validation: Demonstrated mastery in hand calculations and Free Body Diagrams (FBD) to independently verify simulation outputs.
- Structural Analyses Expertise: Deep practical experience in stress analysis, fatigue life estimation, buckling analysis, and deflection evaluations.
- Vibration Analysis: Hands-on experience solving vibration challenges using simulation (modal analysis, sine sweep, random vibration, shock load simulations).

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.
- 5 years of professional engineering experience in structural analysis and computer-aided engineering (CAE) simulation within product design, manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace sectors.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, UG NX, or CATIA) for geometric preparation, mid-surfacing, and simulation model cleanup.
