Role: Senior Security Architect

Location: Pune / Mumbai / Bangalore / Chennai / Hyderabad / Noida

Experience: 8–12 Years

Notice Period: Immediate Joiners

Position Summary The Senior Security Architect is responsible for defining and implementing enterprise security architecture, access management controls, audit frameworks, and compliance standards across business applications and technology platforms.

This role provides security leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring systems are designed and operated in alignment with organizational security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Security Architecture & Design

- Define and maintain security architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Lead security reviews for applications, platforms, APIs, and integrations.
- Ensure security requirements are incorporated throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Assess solution designs and recommend controls to mitigate security risks.

Identity & Access Management

- Design and govern authentication, authorization, and access management solutions.
- Establish role-based and least-privilege access models.
- Oversee privileged access controls and identity governance processes.
- Partner with business and technology teams to ensure appropriate access management practices.

Application Security

- Define secure coding and application security standards.
- Lead threat modeling, security risk assessments, and vulnerability reviews.
- Guide implementation of security controls for web applications, APIs, and cloud-native services.
- Support remediation of security findings and vulnerabilities.

Audit, Risk & Compliance

- Establish and maintain audit controls, evidence collection, and compliance processes.
- Support internal and external audits, security assessments, and regulatory reviews.
- Ensure adherence to organizational security policies and applicable industry regulations.
- Monitor and address compliance risks and control gaps.





Security Operations & Governance

- Collaborate with infrastructure, engineering, and operations teams to strengthen security posture.
- Support security monitoring, incident response, and risk remediation efforts.
- Develop security metrics, reporting, and governance processes.
- Promote continuous improvement of security controls and operational practices.

Leadership & Collaboration

- Provide subject matter expertise and mentorship to engineering and security teams.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, compliance teams, and business stakeholders.
- Drive adoption of security best practices across projects and platforms.
- Influence security strategy and technology roadmap decisions.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or security architecture.
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise security solutions.
- Strong knowledge of application security, identity and access management, and cloud security.
- Experience with authentication protocols, access control frameworks, and security governance.
- Knowledge of security risk assessments, audit controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience securing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of security architecture principles and secure software development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Zero Trust security models and enterprise identity solutions.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, or similar standards.
- Experience with DevSecOps, security automation, and CI/CD security controls.
- Familiarity with API security, container security, and cloud-native architectures.
- Qualified certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SABSA, or equivalent.
