Role Description The Senior Quantity Surveyor is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing cost-related aspects of architectural and construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), developing cost plans and budgets, and monitoring project costs against estimates. The role involves regular cost reporting, supporting tendering and procurement processes, and advising the design team on cost implications of design decisions.
The Senior Quantity
Surveyor will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and contractors to ensure value for money, financial control, and alignment with project objectives,
while maintaining clear documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in cost planning and cost management to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies for projects.
- Candidates should possess proven expertise in cost control and cost reporting to track expenditures, manage variances, and provide accurate, timely financial updates.
- Candidates should possess solid experience with BOQ preparation and review to ensure accurate quantities, rates, and comprehensive tender documentation.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in construction estimating software, spreadsheets, and standard quantity surveying tools.
- Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with architectural projects, local building codes, and regional market rates in Bengaluru or similar urban contexts is highly beneficial.
