Role Description The Senior Physical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. This role involves owning and executing physical design flows, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure for complex IP and SoC designs. The engineer will collaborate with RTL, verification, and circuit design teams to optimize power, performance, and area, and ensure smooth handoff from RTL to GDSII.

Daily responsibilities include running and analyzing physical verification checks, resolving DRC/LVS issues, and driving sign-off across multiple technology nodes. The individual will also mentor junior engineers,



contribute to flow and methodology improvements, and participate in customer discussions and design reviews.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure.
- Hands-on experience with Physical Verification, including DRC, LVS, and sign-off methodologies.
- Solid understanding of Logic Design and Circuit Design principles for digital and mixed-signal systems.
- Proficiency in RTL Design concepts and interaction with front-end teams for design convergence.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools for physical implementation and verification (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens).
- Knowledge of low-power design techniques, PPA optimization, and advanced process nodes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and take ownership of deliverables.
- Proven track record of successful tape-outs and familiarity with IP and SoC design flows is highly beneficial.
