Job Title: Senior Laravel Developer: AI-First

At Infotech.Works, we build products for startups and innovators, moving quickly from idea to production. We’re looking for a Senior Laravel Developer who combines strong Laravel expertise with solid engineering fundamentals and an AI-first approach to development.

What You’ll Do

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using PHP & Laravel
- Own features end-to-end—from understanding requirements to deployment
- Build robust REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Design efficient database structures and optimize queries
- Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Debug complex issues and proactively improve existing systems
- Participate in technical design and architecture discussions
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior/mid-level developers
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and stakeholders
- Use AI tools to accelerate development without compromising quality

Technical Requirements:

Laravel & PHP

- 5+ years of PHP development experience, with strong hands-on Laravel experience
- Deep understanding of Laravel: Eloquent, Service Container, Middleware, Queues, Jobs, Events, Caching
- Robust understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean code
- Ability to independently design and deliver complex modules

Database

- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL
- Good understanding of database design, normalization, relationships, indexing, and constraints
- Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning
- Understanding of transactions, execution plans, large datasets, and database bottlenecks
- Ability to design databases with scalability and reporting requirements in mind
- PostgreSQL / MongoDB experience is a plus

API & Integrations

- Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs




- Understanding of authentication, authorization, validation, versioning, and API documentation
- Hands-on experience with Laravel Sanctum / Passport
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and services
- Experience with payment gateways, Firebase, Google Maps, Email/SMS, or similar services
- Ability to build reliable integrations and handle timeouts, failures, retries, and edge cases

Security

- Strong understanding of web application and API security
- Experience with authentication and role-based authorization
- Understanding of input validation, data sanitization, encryption, and hashing
- Awareness of common vulnerabilities including SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, and authentication vulnerabilities
- Ability to securely handle sensitive data and third-party integrations

Cloud & Engineering

- Experience with Git and AWS
- Understanding of caching, queues, background jobs, and performance optimization
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Focus on security, scalability, performance, and maintainability

AI-First Mindset

- Regularly use tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar
- Use AI for coding, debugging, testing, prototyping, and technical exploration
- Ability to review, validate, refine, and improve AI-generated code
- Experience integrating AI APIs such as OpenAI is a plus

Good to Have

- PostgreSQL / MongoDB
- Docker and CI/CD
- React / Vue / Next.js exposure
- SaaS or product development experience
- Experience working on AI/ML-based products
