The RSK Group is a dynamic, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy and have a unique opportunity for Senior Mechanical Engineers with experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment systems.
We are setting up a Recent Engineering Centre in Gurugram and are looking for Senior Mechanical Engineers to work on a range of technically challenging projects to deliver engineering solutions ranging from concept design through to detailed design for construction.
This is a full-time office-based role working 40 hours a week.
Senior Mechanical Engineer – Gurugram
Responsibilities Include:
- Working closely with project teams, other engineering disciplines, Project Managers, estimating, site and commissioning teams, CAD, Joint Venture partners and Clients.
- Production of clear and concise mechanical engineering deliverables appropriate for the intended audience including general arrangement drawings, equipment sizing calculations, equipment and material selection, enquiry documentation, datasheets, schedules and reports.
- Compliance with in-house procedural & quality systems.
- Coordinating the development of key multidiscipline deliverables such as P&IDs.;
- Managing design interfaces with other disciplines and integration of the mechanical design elements into the overall design.
- Undertaking technical bid assessments, subcontractor design reviews and providing technical support to site teams.
- Validation and verification of the engineering design, construction, installation, and commissioning.
- Providing guidance and direction to others from the same project and discipline.
- Responsible for Checking engineering outputs of others.
- Managing your assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
Person specification The role is suitable for technically strong,
commercially aware candidates with a background in Mechanical Engineering in the water industry or other closely related industries. You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in your home country or the country in which you are practicing.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with a high level of computer literacy.
- Typically, have a minimum of 10 years related work experience.
- A good working knowledge of clean water and/or wastewater engineering design principals, equipment selection criteria and treatment processes.
- Awareness of common engineering standards and practices including WIMES and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, typical procurement processes and document control.
- Must be enthusiastic, adaptable and be driven to provide efficient engineering solutions.
- Be self-motivated and able to work with within a multi-discipline teams to deliver engineering outputs to time and budget.
- Be able to recognise and manage change.
