Job SummaryKoyetech is looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, databases, and backend system design.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications while working closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, architects, and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise applications.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and production-ready code.
- Integrate backend services with relational databases, NoSQL databases, external systems, and third-party APIs.
- Work with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and other SQL/NoSQL technologies.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, API validation, exception handling, and logging.
- Develop asynchronous and event-driven backend services where required.
- Identify and troubleshoot application, API, database, and performance issues.
- Develop unit and integration tests and maintain high code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, architects, DevOps, and product teams.
- Support applications across Development, Staging,



and Production environments.
- Participate in production deployments, incident resolution, and post-release support.
- Contribute to improving application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework.
- Strong hands-on experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases, preferably MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Redis and caching mechanisms.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Git and Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with API security, authentication, authorization, and exception handling.
- Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently design and develop backend components and services.

Good to Have
- Experience with Java 11/17 or later versions.




- Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, or other messaging platforms.
- Knowledge of event-driven and distributed system architectures.
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience developing high-volume, scalable, and distributed applications.
- Knowledge of application security and data protection best practices.
- Experience working on enterprise or domain-specific applications.
