Salary: 20 - 30 K (240 K - 360 K per annum)
Responsibilities:
Assist authors with their publishing related queries and close the deals.
Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the publishing industry, including authors, marketeers, distributors, etc.
Manage the acquisition process for current titles, including evaluating manuscripts, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the editing and production process.
Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies for recent and existing titles.
Work closely with authors to develop and execute marketing plans for their books.
Stay up-to-date with industry news and trends and make recommendations to the publishing house leadership team.
Requirements:
Robust communication and negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with community members, influencers, and stakeholders.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for reading and literature will be preferred.
