Role Description The Senior Engineer – Highways role is a full time, on-site position based in Amaravati. This role involves leading the planning, design, and execution of highway and road infrastructure projects, including reviewing detailed drawings, specifications, and design reports to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with standards. The senior engineer will oversee construction activities, monitor project progress, coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and consultants, and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing site supervision, resolving technical issues, optimizing resources, preparing project documentation,



and supporting timely approvals from relevant authorities. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, contributing to process improvements, and supporting on-time delivery of projects within budget.

Qualifications

- Strong highway engineering expertise, including geometric design, pavement design, alignment planning, and knowledge of relevant national and international standards and codes.
- Proficiency in design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar highway design software, and MS Office for reporting and documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, resource management, risk assessment, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, contract documents, specifications, and quality control procedures for road and highway projects.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and best practices for large infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a master’s degree in transportation or highway engineering is an advantage.
- Prior experience in senior or lead roles on major highway or road projects, preferably with large infrastructure organizations.
- Ability to work on-site in Amaravati and adapt to dynamic project environments while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
