About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to own secure connectivity, VM operations, and Kubernetes workloads within Opkey’s Azure environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on cloud engineer who can independently manage

SSO, VPN, and Bastion-based access for customer-facing VMs, operate Opkey’s applications on Azure Kubernetes

Service (AKS), and drive measurable Azure cost optimization.

You will partner closely with Security,



Customer Success, and Engineering teams to keep customer VM access secure,

compliant, and audit-ready at all times.

What You’ll Do

Secure Connectivity &

- VM Access

- Configure and troubleshoot SSO (SAML/OAuth) for customer and internal access.
- Set up and maintain VPN (site-to-site and point-to-site) connectivity.
- Manage Azure Bastion for secure RDP/SSH access without public IP exposure.
- Help customers connect to Opkey VMs using Private Link / Bastion.

Customer &
- Audit Engagement

- Lead customer calls covering security and audit reviews for VM connectivity.
- Document and drive remediation of findings from customer security reviews.

VM &
- Kubernetes Operations

- Own the end-to-end VM lifecycle: provisioning, sizing, patching, and performance troubleshooting.
- Deploy, debug, and monitor Opkey applications running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Triage and resolve AKS workload issues (pod failures, scaling, networking).

Cost Optimization
- Scope and implement Azure cost optimization initiatives (rightsizing, reserved instances, unused resource

cleanup).
- Prepare reports on cost savings achieved and further optimization opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

6–9 years of overall experience in Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps,



with Azure as primary focus.

- Hands-on experience managing production VM environments at scale.
- Experience configuring SSO / identity federation for enterprise customers.
- Experience operating Kubernetes (AKS) production workloads.
- Customer-facing experience handling technical or security discussions.
- Experience in B2B SaaS environments preferred.

Technical Skills Strong understanding of Azure networking: VNets, subnets, NSGs, Private Link.

- Deep expertise in Azure Bastion, VPN Gateway, and secure remote access patterns.
- Hands-on AKS: deployments, debugging, monitoring, and scaling.
- Proficiency with Azure cost tools (Azure Cost Management, Azure Advisor).

Certifications (Preferred)

Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Azure Security Engineer Associate

CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)

Soft Skills

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

- Clear communicator, comfortable leading customer security calls.
- Ownership mindset, proactive about cost and security improvements.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Security &
