About the RoleRigved Technologies is looking for an experienced Senior Apigee DevOps / SRE Engineer for an enterprise technology engagement in Bengaluru.

We are specifically looking for professionals who combine strong Apigee platform expertise with DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud infrastructure and production operations experience.

This role is best suited for engineers who have worked on the Apigee platform and its production ecosystem, rather than candidates whose experience is limited primarily to API proxy development.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, support and enhance enterprise Apigee platforms across production environments.
- Work with Apigee X, Apigee Hybrid and/or Apigee Edge environments.
- Build and maintain reliable deployment and release pipelines for Apigee platforms and APIs.
- Automate infrastructure and platform provisioning using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Work with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift for containerized platform environments.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.
- Support production deployments, upgrades, migrations and platform changes.
- Monitor platform availability, performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and observability practices.
- Work closely with API development, cloud, infrastructure, security and application teams.
- Improve platform reliability through automation and SRE best practices.

Must-Have Qualifications
- 8–12 years of overall IT experience.




- Strong hands-on experience with Apigee in enterprise/production environments.
- Experience with one or more of:
- Apigee X
- Apigee Hybrid
- Apigee Edge
- Strong DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
- Cloud platform experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience supporting production deployments and incidents.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work from Bengaluru as required by the engagement.

Preferred Qualifications
- Apigee Hybrid implementation or migration experience.
- Apigee Edge to Apigee X/Hybrid migration experience.
- Solid GCP infrastructure experience.
- Docker and Helm experience.
- Python and/or Bash scripting.
- API security experience including OAuth 2.0, mTLS and certificates.
- Monitoring and observability experience.
- Experience supporting highly available, business-critical enterprise platforms.
- Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments.
