We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong knowledge of accounting, statutory compliance, TDS returns, reconciliation, and financial data checking. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring timely compliance, and reviewing financial data for errors and discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Prepare and file TDS returns and ensure timely TDS compliance.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and other statutory compliances.
- Perform bank, ledger, vendor and customer reconciliations.
- Check accounting data, vouchers, invoices and supporting documents for accuracy.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data and reconciliations.
- Verify purchase, sales, expenses, receipts and payment entries.
- Maintain proper records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports, MIS and other accounting statements.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants and management regarding accounting and compliance matters.
- Ensure all accounting entries are complete,
accurate and properly supported.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and perform regular data checks.
- Ensure compliance-related returns and payments are completed within prescribed timelines.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of TDS and statutory compliance.
- Valuable understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Excellent reconciliation and data verification skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Tally and BUSY accounting software.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting reports.
- Ability to independently handle accounting and compliance activities.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CA Dropout preferred.
- Experience: 3–6 years in accounting and statutory compliance.
