Profile- Senior US Residential Mortgage Underwriter

Location - Chennai

Experience - 4+ years of relevant years in US Residential Mortgage Underwriting

Shift- US Shift (One way cab facility)

Job Responsibilities
Ability to manually underwrite complex transactions to ensure the loan meets established guidelines
Underwriter should have the ability to read the guidelines to determine whether each loan meets the requisite guideline as specified by the Client




Should know how to run the AUS and verify the data integrity of the Desktop UW / Loan Prospector
Review the Employment Guideline Requirements
Perform Income calculations (salaried / Self-employed / Rental / Other Incomes)
Validate all types of Assets including 401K, Bank Statements, Mutual funds, etc.
Usage of Assets against Income requirement/qualification
Calculate Debt-to-Income Ratio, Loan-to-value Ratio, Housing Payment
Review appraisal and perform Property Valuation and use property valuation tools
Review Credit Reports including Credit Scores, Existing liens, payments, etc.,
Should also review the alternate / support documents for credit review Title review and lien validations
Review loan details in Loan applications, Letters of explanation, and gift letters
Income verification on Bank statement loans
Client-specific guideline review with alternate documentation
Understanding of Counter offer and Solutions to the loa
