As Brigadier Defence Academy prepares for the launch of our Lucknow centre, we are looking for a passionate Science Faculty member who understands the academic requirements of defence competitive examinations.

? Who are we looking for?

We need a faculty member who can confidently handle Science for both NDA and CDS students and understands that the preparation requirements for the two examinations are different.

The candidate should have

- Strong command over Physics, particularly from an NDA examination perspective
- Strong understanding of Biology / General Science relevant to the CDS examination
- Working knowledge of Chemistry and other Science topics covered in these examinations
- Familiarity with the NDA & CDS Science syllabus
- Good understanding of Previous Year Questions (PYQs) and recurring question patterns of NDA & CDS
- Ability to identify high-frequency and high-return topics based on PYQ trends
- Ability to balance conceptual clarity with examination-oriented preparation
- Confidence in handling students preparing for different defence examinations within the same academic ecosystem

? We don't want Science to be taught like a school subject.Our objective is to prepare students for a competitive examination.

The faculty member should be able to help students understand:

What to study → How much to study → What UPSC repeatedly asks → How concepts are converted into questions → How to approach those questions in the examination

Classes should therefore integrate

Concepts + PYQs + Practice Questions + Tests + Analysis





? Comfortable with Digital TeachingOur classrooms are technology-enabled.

The faculty member should be:

- Comfortable teaching on SmartBoards
- Comfortable preparing lessons and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Familiar with Canva for presentations and academic content
- Able to use diagrams, illustrations and visual explanations effectively, particularly for Physics and Biology
- Comfortable developing digital classroom material and question discussions

You don't need to be a designer — but you should be comfortable using technology as part of everyday teaching. ? What will the role involve?

- Teaching Physics, Biology and relevant General Science for NDA & CDS
- Planning classes according to the respective examination syllabus
- Analysing and discussing NDA & CDS PYQs
- Preparing topic-wise practice questions, assignments and tests
- Creating SmartBoard-based classroom presentations and academic content
- Identifying students' conceptual weaknesses and helping them improve
- Conducting revision and PYQ-focused sessions before examinations
- Contributing to BDA's academic planning, study material and test series
