Job Description
( Welding Design Engineer )

Should have industrial experience with heavy structural welding design and all kind of weld joints.
In depth knowledge of AWS welding standard.
Capable of providing Various welding symbols independently for assy drawings.
Should be capable of doing basic strength calculations for welded joints.
Shop Floor experience in Welding is added advantage.
Knowledge of ASME standard.
Application of Welding symbols in CAD (Preferably Solid Edge) is added advantage.
Candidate will be single point of contact of all welding tasks.
Should have expertise in sheet metal fabrication.
Should follow DFMA.
Experience in Engineering Changes management is added advantage.
3D modelling using any of the CAD tools (Solid Edge, CREO and Solid works preferred)
Should have fundamental knowledge Product life cycle.




Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings
Assist Engineers in creation of recent designs and product applications.

( Required Candidate profile )
Qualification:

Bachelor degree / Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
8+ years of Experience in Heavy Machinery industry.
Hands on experience on Welding Design of heavy structures.
Experience in Heavy Machinery Design & Fabrication
Preference will be given to candidates with working experience on CAD tools - Solid Edge, CREO, Solid Works and Team Center (PLM)
Fluent in English- written and oral.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
