Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager Job Summary We are hiring an experienced Area Sales Manager (ASM) for a leading OTC Personal Care company. The candidate will be responsible for driving General Trade (GT) sales across Karnataka, managing distributors, leading the sales team, and achieving business growth targets. Candidates must be fluent in Kannada (Karnataka Local Language) and should have solid market knowledge of Karnataka. Key Responsibilities Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Appoint, develop, and manage distributors across the assigned territory. Ensure effective coverage of retailers, wholesalers, and sub-stockists. Monitor primary and secondary sales performance. Maintain optimum stock availability in the market. Plan and execute trade schemes, promotions, and visibility activities. Lead, coach,



and monitor Sales Officers/Sales Representatives. Build robust relationships with distributors and key retailers. Track competitor activities and provide market intelligence. Ensure timely collections and control outstanding payments. Conduct regular market visits and business reviews. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Primary Sales Growth Secondary Sales Growth Distribution Expansion New Outlet Opening Target Achievement (%) Outstanding Control Market Share Growth Candidate Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as ASM in General Trade. Experience in OTC, FMCG, Personal Care, Consumer Healthcare, or Pharma preferred. Must be fluent in Kannada (Read, Write & Speak). Strong distributor and team management experience. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Willingness to travel extensively across Karnataka. MBA/PGDM from a Top B-School will be preferred.
