Role Description The Sales Associate role at Axis Bank is a full time, on-site position based in Agartala. This role involves engaging with customers to understand their banking needs, promoting suitable products and services, and supporting account opening and documentation processes.

The Sales

Associate will manage daily follow-ups, respond to customer inquiries, and help resolve basic service issues in coordination with branch and operations teams.

Responsibilities also include meeting assigned sales targets, maintaining accurate records in bank systems,



and adhering to regulatory and internal compliance requirements. The role is focused on delivering a professional, inclusive customer experience while contributing to branch growth.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over phone.
- Candidates should possess sales and negotiation skills, including the ability to understand customer needs, cross-sell banking products, and work towards defined targets.
- Candidates should possess basic financial and banking awareness, with comfort in explaining retail products such as savings accounts, loans, cards, and digital banking services.
- Candidates should possess organizational and administrative skills, including accurate documentation, data entry, and adherence to compliance and process guidelines.
- Relevant skills such as proficiency with MS Office and banking systems, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in retail banking, financial services, or customer-facing sales is an advantage.
