Job Summary

The PPC Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling production activities for conveyor systems and material handling equipment. The role ensures timely availability of materials, optimal utilization of resources, and on-time delivery of projects while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare production plans and schedules for conveyor systems and related components
Coordinate with design, procurement, stores, and production teams
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production targets and progress
Track material availability and follow up with procurement for shortages
Ensure timely manufacturing and dispatch as per project schedules
Analyze production delays and implement corrective actions
Maintain production reports, MIS, and status dashboards
Support capacity planning and workload balancing
Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure quality compliance




Assist in inventory control and optimization of raw materials and WIP

Technical Skills & Knowledge
Experience in manufacturing of conveyor systems, structures, and material handling equipment
Ability to understand GA drawings, BOMs, and fabrication drawings
Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control processes
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar)
Robust Excel skills for planning, tracking, and reporting

Qualifications
Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
3–5 years of PPC experience in conveyor, material handling, or heavy fabrication industries

Strong coordination and communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving mindset
Ability to work under tight deadlines and multiple project demands
Valuable understanding of shop floor operations and workflow
