About the Role

We are looking for fluent Russian-speaking Medical Interpreters to facilitate accurate and confidential communication between healthcare professionals and Russian-speaking patients. As a Medical Interpreter, you will play a critical role in ensuring patients receive quality care by bridging language barriers during medical consultations, emergencies, hospital admissions, follow-ups, and other healthcare interactions.

This is a fully remote role requiring flexibility to work in a 24/7 shift environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide real-time interpretation between Russian and English during medical consultations via phone or video.
- Interpret conversations accurately, completely, and impartially while maintaining the intended meaning.
- Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA/privacy guidelines.
- Maintain professionalism and neutrality throughout patient-provider interactions.
- Handle a variety of healthcare scenarios, including primary care, emergency medicine, mental health, pharmacy, insurance, and specialist consultations.
- Escalate technical or communication issues when required.
- Meet quality, accuracy, and productivity standards.





Required Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in Russian.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfortable working rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Stable high-speed internet connection, laptop/desktop, and a quiet workspace.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical interpretation, healthcare, or language services.
- Medical interpretation certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience with over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) or video remote interpretation (VRI).
- Knowledge of medical terminology in both Russian and English.
