Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Robo Welder role based in Poonamallee.

The Robo

Welder is responsible for operating and monitoring robotic welding equipment used in the production of hydraulic cylinders and related components. Daily tasks include preparing materials and fixtures, loading parts into welding cells, selecting and verifying welding programs, and performing basic parameter adjustments to ensure consistent weld quality. The role involves inspecting welds for defects, measuring parts against specifications, and coordinating with supervisors and quality teams to resolve issues.

The Robo

Welder also performs routine equipment checks, supports minor maintenance, follows safety and housekeeping standards,



and collaborates with production colleagues to meet output and delivery targets.

Qualifications

- Strong welding skills, with experience in Welding and Arc Welding for industrial or heavy-duty applications.
- Hands-on proficiency in TIG Welding and MIG Welding, with the ability to select appropriate processes based on job requirements.
- Knowledge of Materials used in hydraulic cylinders and structural components, including basic understanding of steel grades and weldability.
- Experience operating robotic or automated welding systems, including loading/unloading parts and adjusting basic parameters.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, weld symbols, and production work instructions.
- Attention to detail with practical skills in visual inspection and use of measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Commitment to protected working practices, including PPE use, adherence to safety procedures, and awareness of hazards in welding operations.
- Previous work experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy engineering environment; exposure to hydraulic products is an advantage.
- Relevant technical education or certification in welding, fabrication, or mechanical trades preferred.
- Ability to work in shifts, stand for extended periods, and handle the physical demands of shop-floor work.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with operators, supervisors, and quality inspectors.
