Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Road Transportation Procurement Manager role based in Mumbai.

The Road Transportation Procurement

Manager will oversee vendor identification, evaluation, and contracting for domestic road transport services, ensuring cost-effective and reliable freight solutions.

Responsibilities include negotiating rates and service terms, managing supplier relationships, and monitoring performance to maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards. The role involves analyzing transportation costs, optimizing routes and loads, coordinating closely with operations and finance teams,



and ensuring timely availability of trucks and other road transport assets.

The Road Transportation Procurement

Manager will also track market trends, update procurement strategies, maintain accurate records and reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives in road logistics.

Qualifications

- Strong road transportation procurement and vendor management skills, including rate negotiation and contract administration.
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management, preferably with exposure to domestic road transport operations.
- Proficiency in data analysis, cost optimization, and use of transportation or ERP systems for planning and reporting.
- Solid understanding of compliance, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to road logistics.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills for cross-functional coordination.
- Ability to work on-site in a rapid-paced environment, with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in the Indian logistics sector and familiarity with the Mumbai transport market will be beneficial.
