Senior Packaging Engineer:
Role Summary
The Senior Packaging Engineer leads the development of packaging programs, drives technical decisions, mentors junior engineers, and ensures robust, compliant, and cost‑effective packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead packaging design and validation for new products and programs.
Define packaging strategies aligned with business initiatives.
Perform advanced testing, analysis, and root‑cause investigations.
Develop and approve packaging standards, specifications, and best practices.
Lead supplier engagement for packaging materials and tooling.
Drive cost‑reduction, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor and technically guide Packaging Engineers.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or Mechanical Engineering,
or related field. In lieu of a degree, previous work experience may be considered.
6–10 years of relevant packaging engineering experience.
Robust understanding of global packaging material and design standards
Solid understanding of packaging and transportation test procedures.
Proficiency in CAD, PLM, and engineering documentation.
Demonstrated experience leading packaging projects end‑to‑end.
Solid cross‑functional collaboration and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
