Overview

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in Playwright using Java or JavaScript. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts, ensuring high-quality software delivery. This role requires strong analytical thinking, hands-on testing expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively within Agile teams.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright (Java/JavaScript)
Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases
Identify, log, track, and manage defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Ensure test coverage,



test data management, and reporting of test results
Continuously improve automation processes and frameworks for better efficiency and scalability

Qualifications

Essential skills
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework using JavaScript
Good understanding of automation testing concepts and frameworks (Page Object Model, Data-Driven, Hybrid frameworks)
Solid experience in functional and automation testing
Valuable knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) processes
Experience with version control tools such as Git
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins (preferred)
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
Positive understanding of test design techniques and debugging
