Role Description The Relay Testing Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting relay protection and control tests for electrical systems in line with project and safety requirements. This full-time, on-site role is based in Bhuj and involves preparing detailed test plans, configuring test equipment, and verifying relay settings and coordination. Daily activities include performing functional testing of protection relays, analyzing test results, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client specifications.





The role also includes collaborating with design and commissioning teams, supporting site inspections, and maintaining accurate records and reports for quality assurance and audit purposes. The engineer is expected to work closely with project stakeholders to ensure reliable system performance and timely completion of testing activities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Test Engineering and Testing, specifically focused on electrical protection and relay systems.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience in Test Execution and working with detailed Test Cases for relay and control system validation.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Functional Testing of protection relays, control circuits, and associated electrical equipment.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with prior experience in relay testing or power system protection.
- Knowledge of industry standards (such as IEC, IEEE) and safety practices applicable to electrical testing and commissioning.
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, and readiness to work on-site at project locations in Bhuj.
