Role: Learning, Monitoring & Evaluation (LME), Patna/Ranchi Experience: 10+ Salary: 15 -18 LPA ___ About the role : Our LME function is entering a current phase of maturity—moving from execution toward a field-leading, strategic, and evidence-led practice.

The Regional

Manager – LME is the architect of that shift for their region. Sitting at the intersection of strategy, systems, and people, this role translates the national LME vision into a regional operating model while building the capability of the state LME team. The ideal candidate brings a systems-thinking lens to understand multiple state contexts, design state-specific studies, manage program data, and determine when to standardize versus adapt to local needs.

This role is core to demonstrating and improving program impact at scale.

Key Responsibilities 1.

Regional

Strategy & Systems Leadership Define the region's LME roadmap, aligning learning agendas, evaluation priorities, and reflection cycles across states while preserving space for local realities. Establish where standardization matters (core indicators, data quality, ethics) versus where local adaptation should lead (delivery context, stakeholder relationships, pacing). Apply systems thinking to program design—using regional data patterns to inform the "why" behind outcomes and feeding insights back into program/policy design.

Champion adaptive management across the region, enabling teams to course-correct based on live data.

- Data Ecosystem, Evidence & Policy Influence Oversee the design and interoperability of state-level databases, monitoring dashboards, and reporting tools to ensure a single, reliable regional view. Drive the adoption of modern LME tools to improve decision quality. Set and enforce regional standards for data quality, data ethics, privacy, and child safeguarding. Build and steward strategic data partnerships with state government systems (e.g., SCERT, DIETs, BEPC) to position the organization as a trusted data partner. Lead strategic evidence gathering (mixed-methods, evaluative, formative,

longitudinal) in partnership with state/regional stakeholders to assess outcomes. Convert learning into evidence products—learning briefs, policy notes, donor reports—that influence internal strategy and external policy. Represent the LME function in regional/state reviews, innovation pilots, and funder or government engagements as a strategic partner. 3.

People

Leadership & Capacity Building Lead, coach, and develop State LME teams, setting clear goals and building their strategic and technical judgment. Design and deliver capacity-building initiatives on data-driven decision-making for internal teams and government partners. Collaborate with cross-functional verticals (Programs, Training, Communications) to cultivate shared ownership of data and learning practices.

Model a culture of honest reflection and psychological safety to discuss data findings constructively. 4.

Organizational Contribution

Contribute regional insights to the national LME team to help evolve the broader strategy. Stay current on emerging practices in LME, adaptive management, and education/public-health data systems (especially in adolescent and school-based well-being). Help shape the organization's broader learning culture and adaptive programming approach.

Qualifications & Key Requirements Experience: 12–15 years of progressive experience in LME leadership within education, public health, or social impact sectors, including experience managing managers or leading multi-site/multi-geography functions.

Track Record: Demonstrated experience in building/maturing LME systems, leading large-scale mixed-methods evaluations, and managing senior stakeholder relationships (especially state/regional government systems).

Technical & Strategic Skills: Grounded in adaptive management, with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Education: Master’s degree required; M.Phil/PhD preferred.
