Education & Background

- Bachelor's or above; Chemical Process, Analytical Chemistry, Quality Management, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Fluorochemicals/refrigerant background, or a combined production-plus-quality profile, is a strong plus — you'll understand R32 process and quality pain points directly.

Experience

- 5+ years in quality management in chemicals, including 2+ years leading a QC lab/team,



with ownership of QMS build-out and major quality-incident handling.
- Fluorochemicals/refrigerant experience (R32, R410A, R134a) is strongly preferred; familiar with vapor-phase/liquid-phase R32 production, control of water and free-HF impurities, and environmental compliance.
- End-to-end QC experience: incoming raw materials (AHF, DCM), in-process patrols (reactor pressure/temperature/purity), finished-goods testing (GC purity).

Core Competencies

- Standards & compliance: fluent in R32 industry standards (e.g., Industrial Difluoromethane, Purity Determination of Industrial Fluorocarbons); sets internal specs (purity ≥99.9%, water ≤50 ppm) that meet premium-grade requirements.
- Process fit: understands the AHF + DCM catalytic reaction; works with production to spot how process drift (temperature, impurities) hits purity, and drives joint quality-process improvement.
- Risk awareness: knows R32 is flammable; designs explosion-proof QC workflows (equipment rating, lab fire controls) to prevent testing-triggered fires or cross-contamination.
- Cross-functional leadership: manages lab analysts and patrol inspectors; aligns quality, production, and safety on the trade-off between quality control and output.

Skills

- Hands-on with GC and GC-MS for R32 purity/impurity work; can run an Agilent 7890 (or equivalent) and write testing SOPs.
- Excel and Minitab; uses SPC and FMEA to trend R32 quality data and give early warnings.
- QMS and ERP systems for real-time inspection-data upload and full-chain quality traceability; tracks policy shifts (Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, domestic refrigerant quotas) and adjusts QC strategy accordingly.

Nice to Have

- CQE, Chemical Engineer, or Senior Analytical Inspector certification.
- Built a quality system for an R32 project from zero, or led a group-standard certification.
- Knows local environmental/safety regulation and benchmark fluorochemicals quality practices.
