Description
Primary Purpose of the Job:

To provide skilled engineering detailing services to Stantec’s global regional office to help them minimize risks and maximize profits for Consultancy contracts.

To ensure the above requirements, the individual must produce conceptual and detailed drawings, reinforcement, and steelwork drawings as well as the associated schedules while complying with health and safety requirements, designs specifications and standards pertaining to the contract.

Key Accountabilities:
The Structural Detailer shall be responsible for delivery of valuable for construction drawings and associated documentation for Reinforced Concrete, Steel structures.
Produce reinforced concrete and steelwork detailed drawings which are explicit, accurate, cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned safely and effectively.
Consider environmental issues in all design activities.
Comply with standard practices and details wherever possible.




Ensure that previous similar solutions are adapted and utilized wherever possible.
Immediately report design problems or deficiencies to supervisor and project manager.
Maintain competitiveness by ensuring drawings are produced within the time durations indicated
Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department
Coordinate drawing production with all other project disciplines both internal and external to STANTEC.
Ensure drawing review procedures are followed.
Maintain drawing files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
Need to work off-hours for client co-ordination: Occasionally

Qualifications
Person Specifications:
Relevant BE/diploma/ITI in Civil engineering.
Experience of Canada/ USA/ UK/ Australia detailing practices will be preferred
Minimum experience of 10 years in reinforced concrete and steelwork detailing in Energy & Industry projects (Oil and Gas, Heavy Industrial process, Po
