What This Role Actually Is

We're a fully remote B2B marketing agency running content, design, campaign, and website work across several client accounts at the same time. Almost nothing here fails because someone couldn't do the work. It fails because a brief sat unread for two days, a handoff went to the wrong person, or nobody noticed a deliverable had slipped until the client asked about it.

This role exists to stop that. You own the operational layer across the intern cohort and the accounts it supports: task tracking, deliverable handoffs, status reporting, and the discipline of chasing things down before they become someone else's problem.

It is not a shadowing role and it is not note-taking. You will chase people, including people more senior than you, and you'll be judged on whether the chase actually worked — not on whether you sent the reminder.

If you want the title without the follow-through, this isn't the right internship.

About Pangolin Marketing

We're a fully remote B2B marketing agency working with SaaS, climate tech, and enterprise software clients. We run websites, campaigns, content, and brand work for companies that want to own their category.

Interns here are on live client accounts from Week 1 — under review, but on real briefs with real deadlines.

You'll Fail Here If

- You raise a blocker and stop there — flagging is the start of your job, not the end of it
- You're uncomfortable chasing people more senior than you for a status update
- Your idea of tracking is a spreadsheet nobody else can read
- You report activity instead of status — 'in progress' is not an update
- You wait to be asked for the weekly report
- You let a deadline slip quietly rather than flag it three days early
- You need the process handed to you — real operations always have gaps and you're expected to close them
- You take 'I'll do it tomorrow' at face value more than once
- You go quiet when things get messy — that is exactly when we need you loudest

What You'll Own

Coordination & Tracking (60%)

- Own task tracking across the intern cohort in ClickUp — briefs logged, owners assigned,

due dates that mean something
- Manage deliverable handoffs between content, design, and campaign workstreams so nothing waits on an unasked question
- Run the Monday async check-in thread: what shipped, what's blocked, what's due this week
- Chase status ahead of deadlines rather than after them — three days early, not the morning of
- Keep the brief trail intact: what was asked, what was agreed, what changed, and when
- Circulate notes and action items from internal briefing calls with owners and dates attached

Reporting & Process (40%)

- Produce the weekly status report: delivered, in flight, at risk, and what needs a decision from someone senior
- Maintain reporting templates, brief formats, and file and folder conventions so the same work isn't rebuilt twice
- Flag process failures with a proposed fix attached, not just a complaint
- Support client collateral coordination — decks, one-pagers, and reports moving through senior review on time
- Document what you fix, so the next cohort inherits a system instead of a story

Craft Requirements

Must-Have

- Clear, concise written English — most of this role is written communication and it is assessed at shortlist stage
- Organisational instinct: you're the person in a group project who ends up holding the timeline, and you don't resent it
- Willingness to follow up persistently and politely, including with senior people
- Comfort with spreadsheets and structured documents — trackers, timelines, status sheets
- Attention to detail on dates, owners, versions, and file naming
- Judgement about what to escalate and what to solve yourself

Solid Advantage

- ClickUp, Asana, Notion, Trello, or Jira — any structured project tool used for something real

- Google Workspace fluency: Sheets, Docs, and Forms beyond the basics
- Any coordination experience — a college fest, student body, campus club, or an internship where you ran logistics
- Exposure to an agency or client-services environment
- Basic understanding of marketing deliverables — what a campaign, a landing page, or a content calendar actually involves
- Reporting or dashboarding experience — a well-built Google Sheet counts
- Meeting documentation and minute-taking experience

What You Get

- Monthly Stipend as per industry standards.
- Real ownership from Week 1: you run the operating rhythm for a live cohort working on client accounts. This is not a mock project programme
- A weekly 30-minute 1:1 with the founder — a conversation, not a review
- The widest view of the agency any intern gets — content, design, and campaign work all pass through you
- A structured 90-day journey: Day 15 fundamentals check, Day 30 and Day 60 checkpoints, Day 90 final assessment — you always know where you stand
- Access to CLX and other paid courses plus every paid tool the work needs — you never pay out of pocket
- Certificate, a Letter of Recommendation on Pangolin letterhead, and a personal LinkedIn recommendation from the founder for everyone who completes the term in good standing
- A 30-minute end-of-batch presentation: what you ran, and what got better because you ran it
- Conversion: strong performers are considered for full-time roles or extended contracts at Month 3.

How To Apply

Send your resume and a one-paragraph answer to this question: 'Describe a time something you were coordinating went wrong — a missed deadline, a dropped handoff, an event that nearly fell apart. What actually caused it, what did you do at the time, and what would you set up differently to stop it happening again?' to [email protected]

We're reading for cause-and-effect thinking, not for a story where everything went fine. If you've built a tracker, a process document, or a project plan you're proud of, link it.
