About the Role The Risk team helps keep the Life Insurance business healthy: strong quality, sound processes, and the right outcomes for customers.

This role sits at the centre of that effort. You'll use data to understand how our distribution actually works on the ground, surface what needs attention, and drive the changes that improve it. This is not a reporting role.

You'll be expected to find the signal in the data, understand the story behind it, and see the fix through to a measurable outcome. We're looking for people who are equal parts analytical and street-smart, comfortable pulling apart a messy dataset in the morning and asking the sharp follow-up question in the afternoon.

Responsibilities

- Analyse sales, operations, and policy data in Excel to surface patterns, outliers, and trends worth a closer look.
- Build and refine early-warning indicators around quality and process health (product-fit, persistency, customer-profile alignment, and similar signals).
- Get to the root of what the data flags: reconstruct the story, connect the dots across sources, and work out what's really going on.




- Turn findings into transparent, well-reasoned write-ups with a recommended action.
- Partner with distribution, compliance, and quality teams to act on findings and strengthen the underlying processes.
- Track whether interventions actually move the needle over time, not just whether an item is marked closed.

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)

- Measurable improvement in the quality and health metrics you own.
- Faster, cleaner, evidence-backed conclusions on the areas you dig into.
- A working set of leading indicators the team can act on early.

Qualifications

- 2 to 5 years in a strongly analytical role: operations analytics, risk, audit, quality, business analytics, or similar. Insurance or financial services background is a plus, not a must.

Required Skills

- Genuinely street-smart: reads people and situations well, asks the right questions, and looks past the obvious.
- Analytically driven and comfortable in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, working with large data, building trackers). SQL or BI-tool exposure is a bonus.
- Sharp pattern recognition and sound judgment on where to focus.
- Clear, concise writing; can make a point land with a busy stakeholder.
- High ownership and the maturity to hold a well-reasoned position.
