THE ROLE:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities on the shop floor, ensuring that production plans are executed safely, efficiently, and as per defined quality and GMP standards. The role involves supervising operators and helpers, coordinating materials and manpower, monitoring production performance, and maintaining accurate production records.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervise operators and helpers during production shifts and assist in allocating manpower effectively.
- Execute daily production plans and ensure correct product, batch, and packing material usage.
- Monitor and record production output, downtime, rejection, rework, wastage, and manpower utilization.
- Maintain production logbooks, batch records, process records, line check sheets, and other required documentation.




- Monitor adherence to production schedules and communicate delays or constraints to the reporting manager.
- Support inventory accuracy by ensuring proper recording and reconciliation of material consumption and production output.
- Ensure machines, manpower, and materials are ready before production starts.
- Coordinate material dispatches and transfers for subcontracting/job-work activities, where applicable.
- Support quality checks and control deviations.
- Ensure shift handovers are completed properly, with all relevant production information communicated to the next shift.
- Escalate machine breakdowns, manpower shortages, material shortages, quality issues, and other production constraints promptly.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

- 2–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing, FMCG, or similar production setting.
- Experience supervising shop-floor operators and helpers.
- Basic understanding of food manufacturing processes, GMP, hygiene, and quality practices.
- Ability to work in shifts and manage production activities under time and operational pressure.
- Good numerical and documentation skills.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field (Diploma holders with relevant experience also considered)
