About the Role

We are looking for an Enclosure Design Engineer to design professional, functional, and manufacturable products and enclosures for PCBs, sensors, switches, displays, batteries, and connected devices, with future scope in mechanical assemblies and robotics.

Key Responsibilities

- Create detailed 3D CAD models using Autodesk Fusion 360 and/or SolidWorks.
- Design product enclosures, brackets, covers, mounts, bezels, panels, and internal structures.
- Develop clean parametric models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
- Integrate PCBs, connectors, switches, displays, sensors, batteries, and fasteners into enclosure designs.
- Design bosses, standoffs, ribs, clips, snap-fits, screw features, cable-routing features, and service access.
- Build and evaluate prototypes using FDM/SLA 3D printing and refine designs based on fit and functionality.
- Design parts for injection moulding, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and additive manufacturing.
- Consider tolerances, clearances, wall thickness, draft angles, warpage, assembly sequence, and manufacturability.




- Account for thermal airflow and heat dissipation around electronics and batteries.
- Prepare STEP, STL, DXF, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Work closely with electronics engineers to resolve PCB-to-enclosure fit and interference issues.
- Support future development of mechanisms, mechanical assemblies, and robotic structures.

Required Skills

- Robust hands-on experience with Fusion 360 and/or SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of 3D parametric CAD modelling.
- Experience with assemblies and mechanical drawings.
- Experience in product and electronic enclosure design.
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
- Understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles.
- Good knowledge of tolerances, clearances, fits, and manufacturability.
