Role Description This is a full-time, in office PLC Programmer (Control Engineer) role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The role involves designing, programming, and testing PLC and control systems for automated assembly and testing equipment, including development of software logic, HMI interfaces, and communication with peripheral devices.

Responsibilities include commissioning machines at the plant, troubleshooting control issues, optimizing cycle times, and ensuring secure, safe operation in accordance with internal standards and customer requirements.



The PLC Programmer collaborates closely with mechanical and electrical design teams to integrate controls into overall system architecture, prepares technical documentation, and supports FAT/SAT, training, and handover to customers. The role also includes continuous improvement of existing applications, implementing changes requested by customers, and adhering to relevant safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

- Strong PLC programming and controls engineering skills (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, or similar platforms), including ladder logic, function block, and structured text.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA configuration, motion control, servo drives, robotics integration, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus/Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
- Solid understanding of automation, electrical control panels, instrumentation, and safety standards for industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics, machine layouts, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of control systems on complex automated equipment.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for working in multidisciplinary, international project teams and interacting with customers.
- Organized, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet project deadlines, and support on-site commissioning.
